Random

Kenzie gets my camera all the time so I have a ton of random pictures so I thougth I would share a few of the decent ones.

Porter was trying to really sleep in there.  Funny kid.

Eliana loves to cook and can cook a few things all by herself.

Fishing

Here are some pictures from a couple of different fishing trips.
This was when Porter and David went just the two of them to Silverton Reservoir.
Another time when David and his friend Joel took some of the girls fishing to Silverton as well.
David went fishing in June one Saturday with a friend in the ward and his brother and David's dad and Uncle.  They caught an oversized sturgeon that was 8 feet or more.  Unfortunately that is not the keeper size.  They also 18 too small to keep.  They had a good time though.

Grandma Wilma Strasser

Back in May we went to Idaho for the funeral for David's grandma Wilma Strasser.  She has been sick for a long time and we were grateful she could be reunited with her husband and daughter again.  Her funeral was May 11th which would have been her and her husband's 69th wedding anniversary.  We had a good time seeing all the Strasser relatives even if it was for a funeral.

We stayed at a hotel that had a nice big pool and most of the families from out of town stayed (thanks to David's cousin's husband who worked there) so the kids had tons of fun!

Here are 40 of 45 of David's cousins celebrating the life of Grandma Wilma Strasser.
They are sitting here in numerical order, Grandpa George Strasser ALWAYS knew their numbers even if he could not remember their names!
We will miss her.  We are grateful for all she was and did.

San Diego Fun!

Last month I went to San Diego to visit with some of my siblings.  My brother and his wife live there and actually he just graduated from Law school yesterday.  I was going to go down then but it worked better for me to make a visit last month.  I also got to see my sister Kalli before she left for China.  Both my sisters were going to visit so I decided to as well.  It was a lot of fun!!!  It was a nice getaway with just Lydia and I.  I am grateful David took care of the other kids, well with the help of his parents.  His dad and him took them camping/fishing for most of the weekend and then his mom watched them when he had to work Monday.  I love San Diego!  I also love my family and was happy to see most of them!  Thanks to Kalli here are some pictures of the little vacation!

Funny awkward moment where Kalli asked if she could take a picture with this guy and his wife got out of the truck and was like he is taken, so Kalli said she wasn't trying to hit on him just wanted a picture of him in uniform.  The wife was not too happy.  Kalli still got a picture but didn't touch him at all, haha.
The fire breathing man we saw while shopping.  He was crazy and drank lighter fluid.  His voice was so messed up and I am sure he won't live long.

Lydia 10 months

Lydia is now 10 months and is getting into things.  She loves her mom and is very clingy to me. She has started being scared of others and cries when I leave even when I leave her with David.  I still nurse her a few times a day and she is doing better with eating solids.  She now waves and gives high fives.  She has stood a few seconds without holding on to something, but no steps yet.   I would prefer her to walk now since she is already into things and she her knees are starting to look like they hurt from crawling around so much.  She is also sleeping better in her crib and has slept through the night a few times now.  We are hoping this continues.  It seems though as if she does good but then we go out of town and she gets off schedule.  I have been out of town with her 3 out of 4 of the last weekends.  And we might go out of town again this weekend.  I will post on our trips soon.  Just wanted a quick little update on Lydia. Here are her 9 month stats:

Easter 2012

We had a great Easter weekend!  Saturday morning we had a visit from the Easter bunny and then we went to a hunt at Albertsons.  We also died eggs, which I forgot to get pictures of and then went to a hunt at our church.  We ended the day with a hot dog roast and hunt at Grandma and Grandpa Strasser's even though they were in Wyoming visiting the family over there.  It was a beautiful day and the kids enjoyed it.  Then on Sunday we had church and then we had David's brother Cory's family, David's sister Aleta's family and our dear friends in the ward over for lots of yummy food and visiting.  It was so nice we were able to move the party outside which was very nice because it would have been really crowded and loud with 14 kids and 8 adults in our house.  The kids got to jump on the tramp and go in the hot tub.  We also did two crafts thanks to Aleta.  Sorry I am still not good about taking pictures so this is all I have.  I will take one of Lydia alone in her dress soon.  Hope everyone else had a wonderful Easter.

Kenzie in hers, smelling the tulips that opened up on Easter!
Right after church.  Eliana is slouching over and Kenzie is slightly bent too, they are not all the same height even though this picture seems to look that way.
