New Addition Coming

Yes, for those who don't already know, I am pregnant!! I am due September 9th, so that makes me almost 12 1/2 weeks now. Wednesday I went to my first prenatal appointment and everything went well. Here are some of the ultrasound pictures I got. I get the big ultrasound and find out what it is in April so I will let you all know then. Last month was pretty bad with pregnancy sickness, so that didn't help when everyone else was so sick, see sickness below. In the top picture that long skinny thing is it's arm waving. We are very excited!

David's Birthday

David just had his 27th birthday on Wednesday. We didn't do anything really because he worked then I had to be at the church to set up for New Beginnings right when he got home and he had Young Mens and I didn't get home til after 9. It was just us because it was so late. I hope he enjoyed it though. It was also my sister Kiffyn's birthday the same day so when I made two cakes to layer them, Eliana asked which one was for Kiffyn. It was funny. I hope you had a good birthday in Vegas too Kiffyn! I tried to take a picture of David blowing out all those candles, but my camera was slow and he got them all out in one quick blow. WOW! I hope you had a good birthday sweetheart!

Kenzie Update

Kenzie is now 15 months and is such a sweet fun loving girl. She enjoys playing with her sister, which she usually gets along well with. She likes to read books and play Little People. She also loves to play with kitchen stuff and loves to walk around with a pretend plate and fork and say, "Wanna a bite". Kenzie loves when her Daddy comes home and anytime she hears the door she yells, "Dadda" and she asks me "Where's Dadda" all day. Kenzie learns new words/everyday, but the one she still hasn't got is please when she wants something, she still grunts/screams for it. But she does say "Thank you" when you give her something. She loves dogs and even says "dog" when she hears a bark. Life is getting easier the more she talks, she tells me "I want jue" (drink) or "I want nana" or "caca" (food of some sort). Kenzie also amazes me everyday and is such a joy in my life.

Eliana Update

Eliana is a 3 years old and she is growing up so much. She enjoys playing kitchen/tea party and loves to little art projects. Eliana has an amazing memory and can pick up words to a song after hearing it once or twice. She loves music! Eliana now can read all her letters (upper case) and numbers, and is working on writing all of them and recognizing lower case letters. She loves to look for her favorite letters when we drive places on signs, her favorite letters are O and E. Eliana amazes me everyday and is such a joy in my life.

Sickness

It seems as if everyone has been sick. It started the 6th with Eliana getting an ear infection. Then last week Kenzie got a virus where she was throwing up. It was awful, there is nothing more disgusting to me then a young child who has this. Now, it wouldn't have been so bad if it was once or twice, but it was a violent flu. She throw up probably 25 times in less than 24 hours. As hard as I tried to not let Eliana get it, it didn't work. On Wednesday it was her turn, and her violent throwing up was in a shorter amount of time, but she then throw up once a night for three more nights after that. They are getting better slowly, but it was a ugly sickness that seems to be taking a while to get back to full health. Luckily David and I never got it, although we both suffered that week with a head cold. I haven't been able to sleep well because I have a horrible cough, so I am exhausted. I think we are good now, except Kenzie was extremely fussy yesterday and today, so I called the nurse hotline and I might take her in today. It seems to me as if she is in pain, I can't tell if it is her stomach (she likes to pick at her belly button), her ears (she does play with them a little too) or maybe a head cold since David and I had it ( she has a slight cough), or maybe just teething. I guess I just know that her cry is a pain cry and holding her won't even calm her down. Luckily she fell asleep a little bit ago. Peace at last.

Valentine's Day

For Valentine's Day we just stayed home and had a heart shaped pizza and watched a movie. We thought about going out but didn't want to face the madness plus our kids were still sick. I got David some chocolates and made him this card.
David got these extremely fancy chocolates for me. They are from some speciality store in Portland. Oh, they are really really good. I love the designs too. It was a good Valentine's Day!

President Hinckley

I got this poem and I really enjoyed it as a tribute to President Gordon B. Hinckley:
Prophetic Passing
I imagine he's running to Marjorie now,
Yes, running, not waving his cane.
I see him embracing his father and mother
While they keep repeating his name.
I see him now meeting his forebears,
Brother Brigham and Joseph are there.
Sweet reunion of prophets, united by service
That only such noble men share.
I see him embraced by the Savior
While Father says, "Good and well done.
So faithful in stalwart endurance, I welcome
My noble, most excellent son."
I then hear the ripples of laughter
As he says the reception's just fine,
But he hopes that he'll get an assignment or two
Since there's no need to waste any time.
I can hear his clear voice in the stillness
At the close of this sweet Sabbath day,
Have faith and move forward - there's work to be done.
President Hinckley would want it that way.

Gordon B. Hinckley Tribute

I really enjoyed this video, I got it off a friend's blog. It realy just touched me. Actually if you go to the you tube website there are a lot of good ones that say so much about our beloved prophet Gordon B. Hinckley who recently passed on this week. He was such an incredible person. I am grateful I was able to be alive during his time serving as prophet.
