Schreiner's Iris Gardens

Sunday evening we took a drive out to see the iris gardens. It was a beautiful evening and I really enjoyed the peacefulness I felt as we walked around the gardens, even though the sprinklers were on in some parts. Not all the irises were in bloom so we will be going back soon. I think this place is so pretty. I love all the flowers, they don't have just irises.

Iris Festival Parade

Saturday we went to the Iris Festival Parade here in Keizer. It was really really hot so we didn't watch the parade up too close because we forgot umbrellas for shade so we found some and watched the parade from there. Here is David and Eliana and Kenzie along with their cousins Siosi and Kalo. They liked to wave back at people in the parade, so in this picture Eliana is waving.

Here is a marching band coming up and off to the side is the concession workers, Joe, Shaun, Aleta and Shar (David's family).

Swimming

Well, we have had some hot, hot days these last few days. Friday we got up to 99 and Saturday was pretty close, so we went swimming to keep cool. We went at David's parents'. I was also glad we have air conditioning in our house when it got to be so hot. I had to get the air on the car fixed though so on Thursday since I knew it was going to be hot I went and did that.

Lila's Party

On Saturday Lila had a birthday party. It was so much fun! We had it at David's parents' so we could play volleyball, let the kids play in the blowup bouncy thing, BBQ, have a fire, and just enjoy the outdoors. I didn't bring my camera, but I got some pictures from Lila and Heather, thanks guys! Also Happy Birthday again Lila! You're the best!
