Fun with Dad

Yesterday the girls were coloring with markers and they started coloring on themselves, so David decided to draw on their faces. After he drew on their faces he let them color on his face too. The only problem with doing this was today Eliana wanted to color on her face more and was very sad when she no longer looked like a clown. They sure did have fun with their dad and had a lot of laughs together. It was pretty funny to watch all this.
Here is Eliana drawing on David's face

Porter's 2 weeks

Our little Porter is two weeks old. Time is flying already. And he is growing pretty quickly. He went to the doctor today for his two week checkup and here are his stats:
Weight: 8 lb 15 oz
Height: 21 inches
Head Circumference: 36.5cm
Porter is a very good baby and hardly ever cries. We all enjoy having him in our family.

Here is a picture of Porter with the other Strasser boys that are just a few weeks apart. (From left to right: Porter, Calvin- Joel and Lila's son, and Owen- Cory and Heather's son)

The Arrival of Porter Carling Strasser

The day finally arrived when our son was born. He was born at 8:41 am on September 9 weighing 8 lbs 4 oz and 20 something inches. Everything went well and we are all doing great. I woke up about 2:30 with some pretty hard contractions. By the time we got to the hospital around 4:00 I was in a lot of pain and was a 6 1/2. I was going really fast, but decided to get an epidural. It was good because I needed to have the antibiotics for Group B for 4 hours and I barely made it. Once I was given the epidural I was able to rest before I needed to push. When I got the epidural I was an 8. They let the baby labor on his own while I rested for quite some time. I only pushed for about 10 minutes and he was safely out. He is so cute! We will post pictures soon. I thought I had the cord for the camera, but it must be at David's work and his laptop doesn't have a card reader like our computer.
