Snow Day!!

Tuesday night we got some snow! This is a bad picture but it was taken from our window when it was dark, I was too cold to go outside. I had something that night so I didn't get a chance to play in the snow with the kids then, but David did. So I took this picture of their small snowman they made while I was gone, later that night. By Wednesday morning, it had melted down quite a bit, but there was still a good amount so we played for a while. Here are the girls all bundled up. Kenzie could hardly move. Ok, maybe she was overly dressed.

The girls by their melting snowman they made the night before.
Our make do quick snowman. We made two pretty small snowman, but the girls had fun. By the afternoon the snow was all gone. We had fun while it lasted though.

Eliana Writes Her Name!

Lately I have been trying to work with Eliana on her alphabet and she is coming along ways. She got a computer laptop toy thingy from Grandma and Grandpa Smith for her birthday, she actually got it early though when we were in Vegas and that has helped her practice recognizing her letters and numbers. Today, I was trying to show Eliana how to write her name so we were trying the nickname Eli to write. And after a couple times with me helping her, she did these two on her own. What a face!

Eliana's Birthday Gifts

After everyone left Eliana's party I was trying on her gifts. I got a couple of pictures I thought were cute. Here is the duck Eliana.
Eliana after I tried on her new shirt and her boots, playing with her new kitchen. Stylish!
I also tried to take a picture of Kenzie, but she moved. I thought it was still cute though. Look at those teeth.

Eliana's Birthday

January 1st was Eliana's 3rd birthday. She has been waiting along time for this. For months now she has been asking when her birthday was. She was so excited. Here are some of the pictures catching the action of her birthday party. (Once again thanks Lila) Sorry they are a little out of order, but you'll get the idea. First off, below we have Eliana showing off her gift of a pan. It came with her kitchen set.
Eliana peering into a gift bag from her aunt Aleta and uncle Joe.
Oh yeah, look at those boots. Love the face too. Thanks Grandma and Grandpa Strasser.
The unwrapping of the kitchen set.
Dad had to help because the box was so heavy and big. Can't you just see the excitement in her.
Getting ready to put it together. She was jumping up and down with excitement.
The cake I attempted to make. If you can't tell it is a butterfly.
The birthday girl at the table waiting patiently.
The embarrassment of everyone singing.
The blowing out of the candles, yes she stood that far away, yet still managed to blow them out quite quickly.
Thanks to everyone for making Eliana's birthday a good one. She had a lot of fun on her special day and has been talking about it all day long today.
