Porter's Blessing

Sunday we blessed Porter. We waited a little bit longer so that David's family could be there since they were already coming that Sunday for Dan and Shaun's Court of Honor. Here are some pictures we took after the event. We attempted to take a family photo, but didn't get a great one of all of us. Oh well.
Here are the kiddos after Porter's Blessing.

The outfit did fit him, it just looks like it wasn't long enough, but really it just bunched up. I was in a hurry to just take some pictures.

Santa's Visit

The Strasser's have a tradition of Santa coming to visit on or around Thanksgiving and he brings a little gift to each child. This year David dressed up as Santa. Here is each of us with Santa.

I was getting up when they took this picture for me.

The funny thing is later Eliana said something about David having the same hands as Santa. I guess she is very observant.

Company Visits

We had some company this last week so we have been busy having a lot of fun. Well, actually a lot of the people who came to visit and most of David's family got sick so we didn't do a whole lot. The sickness was the stomach flu and it spread rapidly through almost everyone. Luckily nobody in our family really got it except David, well I guess we still could. I believe it is because we already had it a few weeks ago. Anyway, some of the fun stuff we did was that I got pictures of are below:
We went bowling. Eliana and Kenzie even bowled. This wasn't their first time bowling but this was Eliana's first time using this tool to help her bowl.

We went to the coast and some people went crabbing. We just went to Mo's (for their world famous clam chowder), went for a boat ride and saw a ton of seals, went to the beach, and went to the outlet mall. Eliana got to go crabbing because her grandpa Strasser was kind enough to take her with them. David unfortunately had to work that day though.

We got to see a beautiful sunset on the beach.

Manic Monday

It is a little late because I was at the coast all day today but here it is:
First folder is the number of letters in your first name.....Kimberly 8
Sub-folder is the number of letters in your middle name....Ann 3
Posted pictures if the number of letters in your last name....Strasser 8
(As always, if you do not have a sub-folder add the second and third numbers together and choose your photo that way)

This is a picture of David and his grandpa with some of the salmon they caught fishing back in September of 2005. Pretty large if you ask me. David's grandpa lives down in California and is the master of fishing and hunting. I love to go fishing with him because we usually catch fish this big and all I have to do is reel it in.

"MaNiC MoNdAy"

Lila started this game of "MaNiC MoNdAy" where each week we will have a different way to select a random photo. To learn more about it click here.

Let me know if you would like to join the train.
Here is this weeks:
Birthday Bash!
This week's picture is based according to your birthday numbers.
The first folder you select will equal the month you were born.....7
The sub-folder you select will equal the day you were born......15
The picture you select number will be your current age......25
(if you do not have a sub-folder then the picture you select should be the day you were born added to your current age. Remember to continue to count to the number, even if you have to start from the top of your pictures again)

This is a picture of Eliana in the johnny jumper. She was 8 months old. How cute is she.

Porter's 2 Month

Porter turned two months on Sunday and had his well child checkup on Monday. It has been a not so fun week so far. We have been sick this week. The girls both got sick Sunday night. Then Monday right before we were leaving to go to Porter's Doctor appointment I started to get it. We are finally better after three days of laying around. I couldn't get up and do anything because I was just really dizzy and weak. I finally took a well needed shower today. I am still a little weak but feel a lot better. I had planned on getting our flu shots when we went to take Porter in but we were all sick. Porter is doing well and growing so fast. He is so happy and is smiling almost all the time, well not for a day or so after his shots. He got a fever and was cranky Monday night and Tuesday but I don't know if he got what we had or if it was from the shots. Oh well, yesterday he was pretty happy, so I think he is all healthy now. Here are Porter's two month stats and some lounging pictures of him:
Height: 2' (86%)
Weight: 12 lb 1.9 oz (61%)
Head Circ.: 15.98" (66%)

Redneck Eli

Eliana tried on David's costume this morning. Nice mullet and rotting teeth. You can't see the teeth very well, but it was funny seeing her like this.

Smiles, well sort of

Porter was really smiley when I was changing his diaper. I have been trying to get him to smile for the camera for awhile, but of course every time I get the camera out he stops smiling. I was able to get this video and picture. I am sure I will get more of him smiling soon as he is smiling more and more each day.

Happy Halloween

I hope everyone had a wonderful and safe Halloween. We did. My kids were still just a little sick, but no more stomach flu so we stayed home for most of the day just being lazy and then for dinner we had Aleta and Joe and their kids over for some pizza. We usually have pizza for dinner on Halloween. This year I just made it, but Joe and Aleta bought some at Costco to bake. Then Cory and Heather and their kids came over and we left to go trick-or-treating. We drove to a nice neighborhood and went for quite a while. The firemen were even in this neighborhood handing out candy and free apple cider, and yes it was even warmed. It was fun until we realized we went the wrong way. The car was parked on another street which to get to from where we ended you had to go a long ways. The kids were tired plus they were slow to begin with and it was starting to rain so we made the men run get the cars and bring them to us. Eliana walked the whole way and she was complaining about how much we walked and said she was ready to go home, which I was shocked because she never wants to go home. Luckily Porter slept the whole time in the stroller. The girls dumped their candy all over the floor when we got home and pigged out, well they didn't really eat that much. I would have got the picture of that but my camera's battery was dead. Kenzie went to bed really fast but Eliana I think had too much sugar and was hyper yet very tired. It took David holding her and rocking her to get her to bed. It was a good night.
